Sustainability at JDWEAR
Packaging for shipping
At JDWEAR, we are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint while ensuring your orders arrive safely.
Materials:
We strive to use eco-friendly packaging materials whenever possible. Our packaging includes paper or plastic envelopes and cardboard boxes, locally sourced as available. These materials can be made from recycled, partially recycled, or virgin materials.
PCR Plastics:
A significant portion of our packaging is made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics. These plastics are derived from everyday items, such as plastic bags and bottles, which contributes to reducing landfill waste.
Transparency:
For multi-item shipments, each product is individually wrapped in a clear polymer bag before being placed in a PCR polymer envelope. This ensures your items are protected during shipping and minimizes the use of additional materials.
Progressive initiatives:
Starting in May 2022, we began transitioning to packaging made from 90% PCR plastic to 100% for textile products at our North American facilities. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact.
Printing processes
Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing products:
For DTG products, we use Kornit and NeoPigment water-based inks, both Oeko-Tex™ certified. These inks deliver vibrant colors and meet strict safety standards, making them safe for printing and reducing environmental waste.
Sublimation products:
Our sublimation products are printed with Mimaki SB411 sublimation ink and Sawgrass SubliJet HD ink, both Oeko-Tex™ certified. Additionally, for select sublimation products, we use MYSUBLI-E sublimation transfer ink. These inks guarantee high-quality prints while also honoring our commitment to sustainability.
Production on demand
